What is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday? Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is a time set aside by churches each year to reflect upon the tragedy of abortion in the United States since the 1973 Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton Supreme Court decisions, and our hope that a better day is on our national horizon in which all life -- included the unborn children -- will be valued. The date is selected to coincide with the anniversary of the January 22, 1973 date of the Supreme Court rulings. What is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday? The 2010 dates include the weekends of January 23 and January 30 and includes Saturday evening services.
Whys if the focus on churches? The primary observance of the day is through churches across the United States that wish to call for protection of the unborn and to extend healing and forgiveness to men and women who are hurting as a result of abortion experiences. The day offers a helpful platform from which churches can address the issue and encourage individuals to get involved in local communities.
How do I get artwork or bulletin insert? This year we are offering a limited supply of inserts for churches and our affiliates. One our supply is gone, it's gone. However, full permission is granted to use our artwork to reproduce as many inserts as desired.
Is there a cost? We request a generous donation to support this important outreach. Donations can be made online or by sending a check once your inserts are received.
